What Defines This Chair

Patented Twilight Tilt Technology The entire seat cradle tilts as a unit — not just the back or footrest — elevating the legs above the heart for true zero gravity and continuing to Trendelenburg where feet are above head level. This is the only positioning mechanism that achieves genuine zero gravity in a lift chair. Exclusive to Golden Technologies. No other manufacturer offers this system.
Patented Rejuvenate Position A position unique to Golden's Twilight system that shifts the user's weight off the seat (ischial tuberosities and surrounding tissue) onto the back — giving the seat tissue periodic relief from continuous pressure. Clinically important for users who spend extended hours in the chair or who are at risk of pressure injuries. Not achievable on standard recliners or non-Twilight lift chairs.
Open Arm Command Center Both armrests integrate a full suite of convenience features: wireless Qi smartphone charger built into the armrest surface, integrated drink holder, removable dining and tablet table, and removable LED reading light. Dual USB charging ports (Type A and Type C) on the side panel. Everything within reach — no side table required.
5-Zone Comfort System Five fully independent motors — footrest, backrest, seat tilt (Twilight), power lumbar, and power headrest — each adjustable separately via the AutoDrive™ hand control. The seat tilt (Twilight) zone is what most chairs lack entirely. Power headrest and power lumbar are standard, not optional upgrades.
Ergonomic Bucket Seat & Plush Biscuit Back The contoured bucket seat is designed to cradle the lower body and guide the spine into its natural S-curve — unlike flat seat pans that place the pelvis in a posterior tilt. The overstuffed biscuit backrest provides plush, structured cushioning that maintains its shape and support under extended daily use. Together they provide exceptional long-term seating comfort for users who spend most of the day in the chair.
Straight Lift Option Standard lift chairs tilt forward as they raise the user — the front of the seat rises to angle the user toward a standing position. The Straight Lift option raises the chair vertically instead of tilting, designed for caregiver-assisted side transfers or users whose balance makes the standard forward tilt difficult. Golden is one of the only lift chair manufacturers to offer this. Must be specified at time of order.
The PR-519 is the 2026 replacement for the PR-515. If you purchased a PR-515 previously or are comparing to one, the PR-519 adds the open arm command center (wireless charger, drink holder, table, LED light), increases capacity from 375 lbs to 400 lbs, and upgrades the hand control. The Twilight system, 5-zone positioning, and Cloud body style are carried forward from the PR-515. Custom-built chairs — including upgraded fabrics, heat and massage, Straight Lift, and left-hand control — are non-returnable. Call us to confirm your configuration: 866-218-0902.

Size & Fit — Two Sizes

The PR-519 comes in Small/Medium and Medium/Large. Call us with your height, weight, and seated measurements to confirm the right size before ordering: 866-218-0902.

Measurement Small / Medium (PR519-SME) Medium / Large (PR519-MLA)
Suggested Height 5'1" – 5'8" 5'5" – 6'2"
Seat Width ~20" ~22"
Seat Depth ~20" ~22"
Floor to Top of Seat ~18" ~20"
Overall Width ~36" ~38"
Overall Height ~46" ~48"
Distance From Wall (Reclined) ~25" ~27"
Weight Capacity 400 lbs 400 lbs
Height ranges overlap — seat depth and floor-to-seat height are the deciding measurements. Users between 5'5" and 5'8" may fit either size. The Small/Medium provides a shorter seat depth for better knee bend and a lower floor-to-seat height for users with shorter legs. The Medium/Large provides more seat width, depth, and a higher seat — better for taller users or those who prefer more room. Call us to confirm which fits your individual measurements: 866-218-0902.

Understanding Twilight — What Makes It Different

Why Standard Lift Chairs Can't Achieve True Zero Gravity

Standard lift chairs — including many marketed as "infinite position" — move the backrest and footrest independently. The seat itself stays relatively fixed. Even when the footrest is elevated and the back is reclined, the user's weight is still concentrated primarily on the seat surface. This is not zero gravity.

What Twilight Does

Twilight Tilt uses a three-motor cradle mechanism that tilts the entire seat platform as a unit. As the cradle tilts, the user's legs rise above the heart level — genuinely redistributing body weight across the full back surface rather than concentrating it at the seat. The result is a true weight-neutral sensation where no single body region bears disproportionate gravitational load. Golden is the only lift chair manufacturer to offer this technology.

The Four Twilight Positions

TV Position — Slight recline with footrest elevated for comfortable viewing. Zero Gravity — Legs rise above heart level; weight distributed evenly; spinal compression minimized; sensation of near-weightlessness. Trendelenburg — Cradle tilts further until feet are above head level; used therapeutically for venous return from lower limbs, edema, and lower back decompression. Rejuvenate — Golden's patented pressure-relief position that shifts the load from the seat surface to the back surface, allowing the ischial (seat) tissue to rest — particularly important for users at pressure injury risk or those who sit for extended periods.

The Clinical Benefit

For users managing chronic lower back pain, leg edema, circulatory conditions, post-surgical recovery, or extended daily sitting, Twilight provides a repositioning capability in a daily-use home chair that was previously only available in clinical settings. The ability to move independently between TV, zero gravity, Trendelenburg, and Rejuvenate — without caregiver assistance — has meaningful quality-of-life implications for users with limited mobility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the PR-519 and the PR-515?

The PR-519 is the 2026 upgrade to the PR-515, which is now discontinued. The PR-519 adds the open arm command center (wireless charger, drink holder, removable table, LED reading light, dual USB Type A & C ports), increases weight capacity from 375 lbs to 400 lbs, and updates the hand control with the Lights Out auto-dim feature. The 5-zone Twilight positioning system, Cloud body style, bucket seat, and biscuit back are carried forward from the PR-515.

What is the difference between Twilight and standard MaxiComfort?

Standard MaxiComfort (used on chairs like the PR-750 EZ Sleeper Slim or PR-766 Relaxer) independently adjusts the footrest, backrest, headrest, and lumbar — but the seat itself remains relatively fixed. Twilight adds a third motor that tilts the entire seat cradle, elevating the legs above the heart for true zero gravity and enabling Trendelenburg and the Rejuvenate position. If zero gravity and Trendelenburg positioning are clinically or personally important, Twilight is required — standard MaxiComfort cannot achieve them.

What is the Rejuvenate position and why does it matter?

The Rejuvenate position is Golden's patented pressure-redistribution feature. It shifts the user's weight off the seat surface onto the back, giving the seat tissue (ischial tuberosities and surrounding soft tissue) periodic relief from continuous pressure. This is clinically meaningful for users who sit for extended periods and are at risk of pressure injuries or who experience discomfort from prolonged seated pressure concentration. The Rejuvenate position cannot be replicated on standard recliners — it requires the Twilight cradle-tilt mechanism to shift the loading axis.

What is the Straight Lift option and who needs it?

Standard lift chairs tilt the seat forward as they raise the user — the front of the seat rises to angle the user toward a standing position. The Straight Lift option changes this: the chair lifts straight up vertically rather than tilting. This is designed for caregiver-assisted transfers, specifically for side transfers where the user is moved laterally rather than standing up from the front. It is also appropriate for users whose balance challenges make the forward tilt difficult or unsafe. Golden is one of the only manufacturers to offer this. Must be specified at time of order and is non-returnable once built.

Can I add heat and massage after purchasing?

No — heat and massage must be specified at time of order and cannot be added after delivery. Two upgrade options are available: Deluxe Heat & Vibrating Massage (surface heat with vibration motors), or HeatWave™ Far Infrared Therapy (far infrared heat that penetrates up to three inches into muscle and tissue). The footrest extension and Straight Lift option must also be specified at time of order. Call us before ordering: 866-218-0902.

Which size — Small/Medium or Medium/Large?

The Small/Medium (PR519-SME) is recommended for users approximately 5'1"–5'8". The Medium/Large (PR519-MLA) is recommended for users approximately 5'5"–6'2". Users in the 5'5"–5'8" overlap can fit either size — the choice comes down to seat depth and floor-to-seat height. The Small/Medium has a shorter seat depth (better for shorter legs) and a lower seat-to-floor height (easier for shorter users to sit and stand). The Medium/Large provides more seat width and depth for taller or larger users. Call us to confirm which size fits your individual measurements before ordering: 866-218-0902.

How long does delivery take?

In-stock Tucker fabric colors ship within 1–2 business days and typically arrive within 5–7 business days. Premium fabric upgrades ship in 25–40 business days. Adding the heat and massage upgrade, Straight Lift option, or footrest extension adds to lead time regardless of fabric. Call us to confirm current stock and lead times: 866-218-0902.
