The Elara's headrest tilts physically by hand to three preset angles — you push or pull it to your preferred position. This allows you to fine-tune head and neck support independent of the chair's recline position without using a motor button. It is not a powered headrest — it does not move electronically. The trade-off is that it cannot be adjusted mid-recline without reaching up to reposition it, whereas a power headrest adjusts from the hand control in any position. For users who find one head angle works for most of their time in the chair, the manual headrest is perfectly practical and eliminates one more motor to maintain.
Both are DeLuna Series chairs — the Elara is 3-position and the PR-446 Dione is infinite-position (4-zone MaxiComfort). The Dione allows the back and footrest to adjust independently to any angle including zero gravity — the Elara stops at three preset positions only. The Dione also has power headrest and power lumbar as standard. If you want DeLuna styling with more positioning capability, the Dione is the step up. The Elara is the right choice if 3-position simplicity and the manual headrest suit your needs at a lower price.
No — heat and massage is not available on the PR-118 in any configuration. If heat is important, the PR-442 Rhea includes HeatWave far infrared heat standard. For a 3-position chair with optional heat, the PR-401 Cambridge offers it as an add-on.
Imagine is Golden's contemporary plush fabric — a polyester blend with Golden's exclusive SofTouch technology and Stain Defense coating. The coating increases stain resistance while adding a luxurious, velvety soft-to-the-touch feel. It is available in multiple colors and is the standard fabric on the Elara. A urethane vinyl option is also available — water-resistant and leather-look — for users who need a wipe-clean surface.
