The Comfort Company Lateral Pad for Wheelchair

The Comfort Company Lateral Pad for Wheelchair is constructed of steel and scoliosis moldable stays which provides comfort and support for kyphosis. The standard lateral designed for basic support of all torso sizes and moldable can be contoured to the users chest. Pivot points are inside of the wheelchair cane to eliminate interference if backrest is reclined or moved backwards.


Swing-away or rigid hardware available.

• 8" of width, 5" of height, and 1.5" depth adjustment.

• Gear teeth allow laterals to adjust in 0.2" increments and locktightly into place.

• Pivot points are inside of wheelchair cane to eliminate interference if backrest is reclined or moved backwards.

• Four lateral pad types: Moldable D-shape, Rigid D-shape, Moldable Active sloped top, and Rigid active sloped top.

WIDTH ADJUSTABLE

• Max distance between lateral pad is equal to the width of the wheelchair.
• Minimum distance between the lateral pads is 8" less than the width of the wheelchair.

HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE

• Vertical height adjustable slots on Acta-Back, Visco-Back, and Embrace Back.
• Secures to inside of backrest shell for strength and improved visual appearance.
• Recommended for use with Acta-Back, Visco-Back, or Embrace Backs.

SWING-AWAY HARDWARE

• Designed to ease transfers, the swing away lateral features an easy to use, push button release.
