Description

ShowerGlyde SG3 Sliding Transfer Bench with Swivel Seat

ShowerGlyde Model SG3 is a sliding transfer bench designed to fit in tighter environments or bathrooms with a vanity adjacent to the tub. Shorter rails and a swivel option allow the chair to clear the obstruction/tight space without sacrificing comfort or ease of use. SG3 slides easily in and out of the tub and locks in two points; on the inside and outside of the tub. SG3 can be assembled as a left or right-hand unit. One grab bar installed at the wall-side of the rails is included for support in sliding.

SG3 is height adjustable allowing clearance of up to a 19" tub. Optional extension legs are available for taller tub lips (up to 25"). SG3 comes standard with a seatbelt and a seat with 3 options; an open commode seat for easy washing, a splatter guard, and a solid seat insert.

Wheelchair Measurements:

  1. Hip Width:
Use this to figure seat width if it is the widest point.
  2. Widest Point:
Measure the widest area across the lower extremities if different from the hip width. This may influence seat width or arm style.
  3. Chest Width:
Measure the widest point of the thorax just below the armpit. This measurement may influence system width or back width.
  4. Heel to Knee:
Use this for legrest extensions and seat height.
  5. SRP to Knee (Seat Reference Point to Knee):
This will determine the seat depth.
  6. Elbow to SRP (Elbow to Seat Reference Point):
Measure this width with the arm in a 90-degree angle at the elbow and the shoulder in a neutral position.
  7. Shoulder Height:
This will determine the height and the style of the back panel or the start for a custom back.
  8. Head Height:
This will help determine the proper headrest height.
