Frequently Asked Questions
The Metro 2 has a 21" seat width, which works well for most users 5'3" and below with a standard hip width. If you need a wider seat — for example, a user who is petite in height but wider in the hips — the Radiance PLR-3955 Petite Wide has a 24" seat width with the same short seat depth. The Metro 2 adds the memory remote with two programmable position buttons — the original Metro had a standard toggle remote without memory presets. The positioning, sizing, power headrest, power lumbar, and lithium backup are the same across both versions. The PLR-925M model number covers both — the Metro 2 is the current production version.
The Tranquil 2 PLR-935 adds Trendelenburg positioning and comes in three sizes. The Metro 2 is a single size only (5'3" and below) and does not have Trendelenburg. If you are 5'3" or shorter and don't need Trendelenburg, the Metro 2 is the right call at the lower price. If you need Trendelenburg, or if you're taller than 5'3", the Tranquil 2 is the correct model. Both have power headrest, power lumbar, memory remote, and lithium backup.
