Description

Karman S-Ergo 115 Lightweight Folding Wheelchair

The Karman S-Ergo 115 weighs only 25 lbs. making it one of the lightest folding chairs on the market today.

The S-Ergo chair has a 250-lb weight capacity and is available in 16", 18", and 20" seat widths.

Why S-Ergo: Ergonomic seating! Not just a fancy sales term, but a functional part of this chair. The seat has a slight 'S" shape to it, just like the natural body's shape. See the video below for a better picture of the ergo seating. The "S" shape provides a more natural posture and discourages the sensation of sliding forward out of the seat. This feature is a big part of this chair.

  • S-Ergo arms: Fixed height desk-length arms are standard with wide concave armpads. Optional Flip-Back armrests are available.
  • S-Ergo Wheels, Axles, Casters: The S-Ergo includes 24" rear spoked polyurethane flat-free wheels with optional quick-release axles. 24" Mag wheels are optional, but are not available with the quick-release axles. Spinergy 12 spoke wheels are also an option if you're looking for a sporty machine! Front casters are 7"x1" polyurethane.
  • Frame Colors: Available in Rose Red or Pearl Silver frame colors.
  • Front Riggings: The S-Ergo 115 comes standard with removable, swingaway footrest. Footrest length is adjustable and includes flip-up composite footplates. Elevating Legrests (ELR's) are optional.
  • S-Ergo Seating: As mentioned above, Ergo refers to the "S" seat shape. A more natural seated position with the legs placed just slightly higher than the buttocks. The actual seat and back includes a mesh base with a silver, anti-bacterial removable cushion system that is machine washable.
  • Folding Frame: The S-Ergo has a folding frame that includes a fold-down backrest. With it's optional quick-release axles, the S-Ergo becomes a very compact folded chair that will fit in any automobile trunk, backseat, or simple storage in a closet.

Wheelchair Measuring Guide

Wheelchair Measuring Guide Wheelchair Measuring Guide

Wheelchair Measurements:

  1. Hip Width:
Use this to figure seat width if it is the widest point.
  2. Widest Point:
Measure the widest area across the lower extremities if different from the hip width. This may influence seat width or arm style.
  3. Chest Width:
Measure the widest point of the thorax just below the armpit. This measurement may influence system width or back width.
  4. Heel to Knee:
Use this for legrest extensions and seat height.
  5. SRP to Knee (Seat Reference Point to Knee):
This will determine the seat depth.
  6. Elbow to SRP (Elbow to Seat Reference Point):
Measure this width with the arm in a 90-degree angle at the elbow and the shoulder in a neutral position.
  7. Shoulder Height:
This will determine the height and the style of the back panel or the start for a custom back.
  8. Head Height:
This will help determine the proper headrest height.
