Hoyer® Journey 340 Sit-to-Stand Lift
Product Code: HOY-JOURNEY-S
Hoyer Journey® Stand Aid — 340 lb, Ultra-Compact Folding, Adjustable Cradle, Smart Monitor & Removable Foot Rest
Ultra-compact. Folds for anywhere. One lift that fits every patient. The Hoyer Journey® is an ultra-compact, portable folding stand aid designed for active transfers of patients who retain some weight-bearing ability — with a feature set that places it firmly at the top of the active lift category. Its defining innovation is the world's first adjustable sling attachment cradle mechanism, which supports a range of patient heights and sizes without sling swaps or adapter changes — allowing a single Journey to meet the needs of many different residents across a facility. Smart Monitor technology tracks lift cycles and sends service reminders. An adjustable kneepad with infinite settings accommodates varying patient leg lengths precisely. And a removable foot rest transforms the Journey beyond a transfer aid into a restorative care tool — allowing the patient to fully stand and walk under close caregiver supervision. The compact folding design stands unassisted when stored and is built for transportation outside the home. 340 lb safe working load. EN ISO 10535 compliant. Authorized Hoyer dealer.

Key Features
Adjustable Sling Cradle — First to Market
The Journey's most clinically significant innovation is its adjustable sling attachment cradle — the first of its kind on the market. Standard stand aid lifts use a fixed cradle position that works well for patients within a narrow height range but requires different slings or adapters to accommodate taller or shorter residents. The Journey's adjustable cradle changes position to support the sling attachment at the correct angle for patients across a wide range of heights and sizes, allowing a single lift with a single sling configuration to serve the full range of a facility's resident population. In institutional settings where multiple different caregivers are using the lift with multiple different patients, this single-lift versatility significantly simplifies training, reduces equipment inventory, and ensures correct positioning across all patient sizes.
Smart Monitor Technology
The Hoyer Smart Monitor — the same compliance and maintenance system found in the Hoyer Presence floor lift — is built into the Journey as standard. It tracks the actual number of lift cycles performed, activates overload protection to prevent unsafe lifts, sends service reminders when maintenance is due, and provides an emergency indicator. For facilities with multiple stand aids in rotation across multiple units, the Smart Monitor provides the data and reminders needed to maintain a consistent maintenance schedule and catch overload events before they become safety issues.
Removable Foot Rest — Restorative Care Application
The Journey's removable foot rest is a feature unique in this lift class. When the foot rest is attached, it provides a platform for the patient's feet during the sit-to-stand movement. When the patient has reached a standing position, the foot rest allows them to remain standing and — under close caregiver supervision — take steps and walk while supported by the lift. This transforms the Journey from a transfer device into a restorative mobility aid that can be used for gait therapy and supervised walking as part of a rehabilitation or maintenance program. The foot rest is removable for standard transfers that don't require the walking function.
Adjustable Kneepad — Infinite Settings
The contoured kneepad adjusts to infinite height settings — not fixed notches — allowing precise positioning for each individual patient's leg length. Combined with the adjustable cradle, this means the Journey can be precisely configured for each resident rather than approximated to the nearest fixed setting.
Ultra-Compact Folding Design
The Journey folds without tools and stands unassisted in the folded position — it won't tip over during storage and doesn't need to lean against a wall. The 39.4" maximum length and 45.1" turning radius are among the most compact dimensions in the stand aid category, enabling the Journey to maneuver comfortably in bathroom spaces, between beds, and through doorways that would stop larger lifts. The folded design is also built for transportation outside the home or facility — making it practical for use across multiple care sites.
