Swan Neck Style Legs

The Hoyer Advance's defining design feature is its swan neck curved legs. Where straight-leg lifts sit flat and low to the ground — getting blocked by power wheelchair bases, recliner footrests, and low bed frames — the Advance's legs curve upward before coming back down, letting the lift step over those obstacles and get close enough to the patient for a safe transfer. The legs open to 39.5" internal width and close to 25" external for maneuvering through doorways, and can be adjusted with a foot pedal at the rear of the base without stopping or bending — even while the lift is in motion.

No-Tools Folding Design

The triangular fold design collapses the lift into a stable standing position without any tools or disassembly. The lift stands unaided when folded — it will not tip or become unstable during storage or transport. Folded dimensions of 46.5" × 21.6" × 17.7" allow it to fit in most vehicle cargo areas, making the Advance practical for caregivers who transport the lift between locations.
