With Head Support vs. Without Head Support

This is the most important selection decision for this sling. The without-head-support version supports the patient to the mid-back area only — the head and upper neck are not supported. This is appropriate only for patients who have sufficient head and neck control to maintain their own head position throughout the transfer. If the patient has limited or absent head control, the with-head-support version must be selected.

The Access sling's defining clinical purpose is enabling personal care — toileting, hygiene, and dressing tasks — without needing to remove the sling and reapply it after care is complete. Standard full-back or U-slings cover the seat area in a way that prevents clothing access during the transfer. The Access design's minimalist configuration provides the structural support needed for a safe seated transfer while leaving the necessary openings for toileting and personal hygiene care, significantly reducing the time and effort required for these routine care tasks.

Purple Alignment Tabs — Consistent Caregiver Application

Purple fabric tabs are attached to the sling at two critical reference points — the neck area and the tailbone. These tabs serve as visual alignment guides that tell the caregiver exactly where the sling should sit on the patient before the lift begins. In environments with multiple caregivers, these tabs ensure the sling is applied consistently and correctly regardless of which staff member is performing the transfer — reducing the risk of incorrect positioning that could compromise patient comfort or safety during the lift.

Non-Slip Adjustable Body Belt

The adjustable body belt wraps around the patient's torso and fastens to secure the sling in the correct position during the transfer. The non-slip backing prevents the sling from migrating upward during the lift. The belt adjusts to fit different patient torso sizes and adds a secondary layer of security — particularly important for the Access sling's more open design where the body belt plays a greater role in maintaining correct positioning than it does in a full-coverage sling.

6-Point Securi3 Clip System

The 6-point Securi3 clip connectors attach directly to the Presence and Stature lifts' 6-point positioning cradle. The Securi3 system requires a deliberate intentional action to connect and disconnect — it cannot detach inadvertently during normal transfer movements. Six attachment points distribute the patient's weight across a wider area of the cradle compared to 4-point configurations, providing greater stability during seated transfers.

Compatible Lifts

Important: The Access sling is designed for the 6-point clip cradle on the Presence and Stature lifts specifically. It is not compatible with loop-style spreader bars or 4-point cradles.
