The DermaFloat ® LAL (Low Air Loss) System from Joerns Healthcare is adept at providing gentle, comforting treatment using pressure redistribution. By continually discharging air via small holes in the mattress surface, this system simulates the effects of floating. In doing this, the system is able to provide unparalleled pressure redistribution which helps to treat and prevent pressure wounds. The system's control unit manually controls the functions of the mattress; it includes three operation modes and 8 comfort settings for patient accommodation.
