Deluxe 2-Point Stand-Aid Sling for Hoyer Lifts
Product Code: NA13499N
Hoyer Deluxe Stand-Aid Sling — Padded, Non-Slip, Adjustable Waist Strap, Designed for Journey & Elevate Lifts
The right sling for standing transfers. Easy to fit. Stays in place. The Hoyer Deluxe Stand-Aid Sling is a padded, non-slip polyester standing sling designed specifically for use with the Hoyer Journey and Hoyer Elevate sit-to-stand lifts. It is designed for patients who retain moderate to minimal weight-bearing ability and can actively participate in standing transfers — FIM levels 2, 3, and 4. The fully padded construction provides comfort during the lifting process, and the non-slip back pad keeps the sling securely in position throughout the transfer without riding up beneath the patient's armpits — a critical safety feature for standing slings where trunk control may be limited. An adjustable waist strap provides a customized fit across different patient torso sizes and adds a further layer of security during the transfer. Easy-fit design allows quick, efficient application before the lift. Available in Small, Medium, and Large. EN ISO 10535 tested. Authorized Hoyer dealer.

Who This Sling Is For
- FIM Level 2 patients — can contribute at least 25% of the transfer effort; lift provides the remaining assistance to complete the standing movement
- FIM Level 3 patients — can contribute 50%–75% of the effort; moderate assist required during standing transfers
- FIM Level 4 patients — can contribute 75% or more; minimal assist required; lift provides stabilization and security
- Patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury who need standing transfer support during rehabilitation
- Elderly individuals with lower-body weakness or balance issues who can bear some weight with mechanical support
- Patients with Parkinson's disease, arthritis, or progressive muscle weakness who retain partial weight-bearing ability
- Any patient being transferred using the Hoyer Journey or Hoyer Elevate sit-to-stand lift who requires a standing sling
Important: This is not a general-purpose sling. Patients must be assessed by a trained clinician prior to use to confirm their suitability for a stand-aid sling. If the patient begins to lose trunk control during the lift, the sling may slip up beneath the armpits — in this situation the transfer should be stopped and the patient reassessed for a more supportive sling type.
Key Features
Non-Slip Back Pad — Prevents Riding Up
The non-slip back pad is the most important safety feature of the Deluxe Stand-Aid Sling. In standing transfers, as the patient is lifted upward, there is a tendency for the sling to shift upward along the patient's back — a phenomenon called "riding up." If the sling rides up far enough to reach the armpits, the transfer becomes unsafe and must be stopped. The non-slip fabric backing prevents this upward migration by gripping the patient's clothing during the lift, keeping the sling correctly positioned throughout the standing motion.
Adjustable Waist Strap
The adjustable waist strap provides a secondary point of security that keeps the sling body in the correct position relative to the patient's torso. It adjusts to fit different waist sizes and adds an important layer of stability during the standing movement — particularly useful for patients who may shift their weight or move unexpectedly during the lift.
Fully Padded Construction
The sling is fully padded throughout — providing cushioning at all the contact points between the sling and the patient's body during the standing transfer. This is particularly important for patients with sensitive skin, bony prominences, or pain sensitivity who might find unpadded sling edges uncomfortable during the lifting process.
Easy-Fit Design
The Deluxe Stand-Aid Sling is specifically designed for quick, efficient application. The patient leans back into the sling from a seated position — the sling wraps around the back and the leg straps are fed under and up between the legs. The waist strap is then secured, and the sling loops attach to the lift's standaid handgrips. The design allows for rapid fitting without complex repositioning of the patient prior to the transfer.
