Description

Karman S-Ergo Flight Ultralightweight Wheelchair

Karman's S-Ergo Flight Ultralightweight Wheelchair is the lightest T6 aluminum manual-propel wheelchair on the market, providing titanium-grade weight at an aluminum-grade price! This lightweight design carries with it a number of features that make the S-Ergo Flight a wheelchair you cannot ignore.

First, the frame. Made with 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the S-Ergo Flight's frame weighs only 14.5 lbs, direct competition for any titanium frame. With an overall weight of only 19.8 lbs, this wheelchair is tough to beat for portability when compared to other manual-propel chairs.

The modern design of the Karman S-style ergonomic seating system, featured on the S-Ergo Flight, provides pressure relief, stabilization and anti-slippage - all important for any wheelchair user. It's also extra comfortable thanks to its ability to distribute weight evenly, as well as the 0.25" thick built-in Aegis anti-bacterial seat and back cushion. A pocket behind the backrest provides convenient storage space. The seat folds for easy transport in a vehicle or when traveling, and optional Quick Release Rear Wheels increase the portability and versatility of this ultra lightweight wheelchair.

A host of benefits accompanies the S-Ergo Flight's ergonomic handrims. The design of these handrims provides better performance and efficiency by eliminating pushing on the tire and increasing control over braking. This also reduces pain in the hands and wrists; with the average pushes in a day reaching upwards of 3000, easing the pain is something any wheelchair user would appreciate!

Wheelchair Measuring Guide

Wheelchair Measuring Guide Wheelchair Measuring Guide

Wheelchair Measurements:

  1. Hip Width:
Use this to figure seat width if it is the widest point.
  2. Widest Point:
Measure the widest area across the lower extremities if different from the hip width. This may influence seat width or arm style.
  3. Chest Width:
Measure the widest point of the thorax just below the armpit. This measurement may influence system width or back width.
  4. Heel to Knee:
Use this for legrest extensions and seat height.
  5. SRP to Knee (Seat Reference Point to Knee):
This will determine the seat depth.
  6. Elbow to SRP (Elbow to Seat Reference Point):
Measure this width with the arm in a 90-degree angle at the elbow and the shoulder in a neutral position.
  7. Shoulder Height:
This will determine the height and the style of the back panel or the start for a custom back.
  8. Head Height:
This will help determine the proper headrest height.
