Description

Karman Healthcare V-Seat Ultimate Luxury Reclining Wheelchair

Since most recliner chair users do not propel themselves, it only makes sense to offer a chair with "Transport" style wheels. The MVP-502-TP uses 14" rear wheels for superior handling, a comfortable ride for the patient, and space-saving ergonomics for folding the chair and taking it with you. The MVP-502 reclines to a full 160 degrees.

The Karman reclining wheelchair is constructed with high-strength aircraft grade aluminum and weighs only 33 lbs, putting it in the lightweight wheelchair category. Competitor's chairs weigh as much as 50 lbs.

A key feature and the real seating benefit, of the MVP-502 is it's unique "V" seating. This is an anti-thrust seat that prevents the user from sliding forward when the back is reclined, a problem found on most competing models that has to be addressed with the purchase of an expensive anti-thrust cushion. Karman has addressed and conquered this problem by designing a seat with a slight rear drop so the buttocks stay in place when back is reclined.

Wheelchair Measuring Guide Wheelchair Measuring Guide

Wheelchair Measurements:

  1. Hip Width:
Use this to figure seat width if it is the widest point.
  2. Widest Point:
Measure the widest area across the lower extremities if different from the hip width. This may influence seat width or arm style.
  3. Chest Width:
Measure the widest point of the thorax just below the armpit. This measurement may influence system width or back width.
  4. Heel to Knee:
Use this for legrest extensions and seat height.
  5. SRP to Knee (Seat Reference Point to Knee):
This will determine the seat depth.
  6. Elbow to SRP (Elbow to Seat Reference Point):
Measure this width with the arm in a 90-degree angle at the elbow and the shoulder in a neutral position.
  7. Shoulder Height:
This will determine the height and the style of the back panel or the start for a custom back.
  8. Head Height:
This will help determine the proper headrest height.
