Invacare Matrx Stabilite Cushion

The Invacare® Matrx® StabiliteTM Cushion is developed to provide pelvic stability and leg positioning for individuals with postural asymmetries. The Invacare Matrx Stabilite Cushion comes fitted with a patented Invacare® ThinAirTM bladder, a unique comfort layer that assists in shear management.

The Invacare Matrx Stabilite Cushion begins with the base for comfort, stability and function.
The Stabilite Cushion utilizes a positioning foam base for pelvis immersion, providing comfort and stability with its waterfall front edge and sacral cutout. The base also features medial and lateral thigh supports; these supports facilitate proper positioning and alignment of the lower extremities.

Trochanter cutouts provide proper pressure redistribution and comfort, and firm foam inserts under those cutouts add additional support.

Finally, the pelvic control necessary for stability and functionality is provided by posterior pelvic support.

A ThinAir bladder functions as a comfort layer while also assisting in redistribution of peak pressures away from a user's bony prominences. It also helps manage shear forces for a healthier, more comfortable experience.

A combination of inner and outer covers protects the cushion and adds a final layer of functionality. The inner cover is moisture resistant and easily wipes clean, with zippered access to the cushion for quick modifications and adjustments. The outer cover features a non-slip base, a lifting strap and hook and loop fasteners. It is also moisture resistant and made with a breathable material.
